At Sensorberg I created a variety of materials to use on websites and in print products as well. This included the mission of taking pictures of our own hardware - our beacons. (Plus, there wasn't any usefull stock material we could use.)
Since I did not have time to build or buy a lightbox at that time I got inventive and made a set by myself. For that, I would use:
On a Sunday morning I used the early hours to have the best light possible in my apartment. The backside of a large poster made a great white background. It was fixed on my desk and a shelf. Placing the beacons small pieces of powerstrips came in handy. It made sure that nothing would roll away. And then I started to try out lots of arrangements.
The session went great and I got a lot of material to process. Back at work I edited the raw files in Photoshop, cropped product pictures and created wallpapers. So finally we had our own image database and used the pictures on the web, on printed matter and in presentations.
