In 2015, I joined the orga team of BarCamp Erfurt. The headline of this conference is "Kinder. Jugend. Medien." (en: "Children. Youth. Media."), and is primilarily addressing people interested in, working in or/and educating in digital media. The aim is to promote a dialogue about current trends and technology, knowledge and visions, but also to offer the opportunity to network with one another within the digital world.
Since we wanted the existing website to look more modern these days, I suggested two new color schemes. As a team we decided to apply the blue-red rebranding. There was already a website theme in place and all elements were recolorded very quickly via CSS. For the mobile viewport I suggested improvement on the table, e.g. as seen on the pages "News" and "Timetable", to present all the information in a digestable on small screens.
Of course, we also applied the new colors to newsletters and print matter. All in all, the appearance of BarCamp Erfurt made a consistent impression and was thus one again perceived as a self-contained brand.
